Repair & Maintenance

Miami, FL

Maintenance and repairs are necessary to maintain your vehicle’s safe operation. Most people know they must change the oil and rotate the tires regularly, but few think of changing the brake fluid every 2 years or 24,000 miles. Most of today’s vehicles have long life coolant which can go up to 5 years or 100,000 miles if the correct concentration is maintained, but dilution with tap water or mixing an incompatible coolant will drastically reduce this lifespan.

Automatic transmission fluid is another common service item which actually has an extended service interval in most climates; however the sub-tropical nature of South Florida’s climate is not one of those. Heat and humidity are the enemies of any automotive fluid, but automatic transmissions are especially vulnerable to overheating and causing internal damage to the transmission. Severe duty maintenance schedules are insurance for the harsh environment your car must endure most of the year in South Florida.

Few people I speak with have ever opened their owner’s manual to check recommended services and intervals, but with most information available online these days you can usually find out what you need as long as you’re not overdue for maintenance by a large amount of time or miles then it is not too late. Expensive repairs can usually be avoided by following regular maintenance and service intervals. It is inevitable that there will be some unexpected repairs necessary to keep your vehicle on the road, but there is no reason to avoid regular inspections to help mitigate those possible failures. No one likes being stranded on the side of the road, and if you spend a little time at our shop we can help you avoid those issues.
